Staying calm and organized under pressure are great qualities to have, especially in the healthcare profession. It’s not surprising then that Ashley Regional Medical Center selected winners of their peer-nominated ‘Performing Extraordinary Action, Kindness & Service’ or PEAKS award that have these traits. PEAKS award recipient Brook Harrison works as a Controller and she stepped up when the normal timekeeping system went down. Her efforts made the manual timekeeping less burdensome thanks to the hours she and her team put in. PEAKS award recipient Savannah Burroughs works as a Registration Clerk at the hospital and is known as a “master of organized chaos. Her skills were highlighted recently when she was working in the ER. During her shift she was training a new staff member, the ER was full, three ambulances arrived and a line of patients were waiting. Savannah handled the situation with humor and kept the environment relaxed.” Congratulations to both Brook Harrison and Savannah Burroughs on your well deserved award!
