Arrests Made In Duchesne County Burglaries

Two individuals have been arrested in reported burglaries in Duchesne County. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, an investigation began earlier this month but the victim provided video evidence to investigators on September 17th which showed that the day before, a gray Toyota Tacoma pulled onto their property. Two suspects took out two trailer wheels and tires that had previously been stolen and secured them onto a trailer with a Sea-Doo. The two suspects, identified as Paul Dodge and Lamont Ivie, then drove away with the trailer and Sea-Doo hitched to the truck. As investigators prepared to make contact with the suspects, the victim contacted officers stating that he had encountered the suspect vehicle at the Pinion Ridge Rest Area. Deputies were able to intercept the suspect vehicle on Highway 40. 61-year-old Paul Allen Dodge, the driver, and 53-year-old Lamont Jed Ivie were both arrested. Later when interviewed, Dodge confessed that they had previously taken the tires to repair them to a usable state to complete the theft of the trailer and Sea-Doo. Dodge and Ivie are each charged with 3rd Degree Felony Theft, Misdemeanor Theft, and two counts of Criminal Trespass.
