Some field trips are more educational than others but for Uintah County 4th graders, the Farm Field Day held at the Western Park on Tuesday focused on real life educational topics. The Farm Field Day is put on by the Uintah County Farm Bureau and it is a chance to teach about a variety of topics, including soil and water conservation, farming, raising livestock, beekeeping, and forestry. Rylinn Miller, a 4th grader in Miss Kinsey’s class at Davis Elementary, was among the sea of students soaking in the wisdom offered. She enjoyed the variety of classes but the animals are what truly won her attention. “My favorite part was getting to hold the fluffy bunnies and the blue eyed puppy!” shares Rylinn. Well done to all involved in this important day of educating local kids on where their food comes from and the importance of agriculture to our community.
