The Uintah County Republican Party Central Committee is accepting applications until noon today for the Uintah County Commission A seat that will officially be vacant on March 3rd. According to the law, the Uintah County Republican Party Central Committee is tasked with the job of submitting the name of one person to be appointed as an interim replacement to fill the vacant office. “This person will be selected in accordance with party bylaws and must be a registered Republican who supports the Uintah County Republican platform,” shares the Committee. “Those interested in the appointment should be aware that the office of Commissioner is a full-time position that requires frequent travel and evening meetings.” A Letter of Interest and resume can be emailed to

until noon today. When the seat is officially vacated on March 3rd, the Committee has up to 30 days to submit a name for appointment and then the Commission has up to 5 days to approve the appointment in a public meeting.
