Animal Shelters Are Full And Help Is Needed From The Community

The animal shelter has put the public on notice. The Uintah Animal Control and Shelter Special Service District announced on Thursday that they are full. This means if you’re needing to surrender a dog, they are unavailable to help until they can get some animals moved. An advocate for the local rescue work and the shelters, Tiffany Cole Henline, is spreading the word that both the Uintah and Roosevelt shelters are full and the community needs to step it up and do better. “PLEASE go adopt! Please FIX YOUR PETS! Please, if you can foster- now is the time to step up and get with a rescue group and help us help them,” shares Henline. “Our community is responsible for this, and we need to STEP UP!” She also emphasizes what she calls the “holiday influx of people dumping their pets”, something she says puts the other dogs already at the shelter at risk.
