The BLM Vernal Field Office has issued an Environmental Assessment for the Yergensen Oil Wells located near Myton. The decision record was signed under which the BLM will authorize six Applications for Permit to Drill to the applicant Fourpoint Resources LLC. The announcement states that “the well pad, access roads, and pipeline corridor would be constructed on private land regardless of the BLM decision in order to drill two wells producing from private minerals and are therefore not part of the federal action subject to this decision.” The project location is in the North Myton Bench unit located north of Myton City in Duchesne County.
