SkillsUSA officially announced the election of its 2026-27 National Officer Team and a young man from the Uintah Basin is on the list. Composed of 15 exceptional career and technical education (CTE) students, the team serves as the national face and voice for over 444,000 student and educator members shaping the nation’s future skilled workforce, shares the announcement. Brendan Peterson of Roosevelt is among those that will serve as a national representative for high school and college/postsecondary members of SkillsUSA. Brendan is a graduate of Uintah Basin Technical College and an incoming Aviation Sciences student at Utah Valley University. Brendan’s new role is no small accomplishment. To qualify for national office, these students must meet rigorous academic and leadership standards within their home states before launching competitive national campaigns at the national conference.
