A Roosevelt business is a total loss after a building fire on Friday evening. According to Roosevelt Fire Chief Lee Rockwood, the fire department was called to a structure fire at 7:51pm on July 10th. The Zipp’s Laundry building had a black column of smoke showing and the fire crew found the building on fire with flames showing through the roof. “We started knocking down the fire from a window that had broken from the fire,” shares Chief Rockwood. “We were able to knock the fire down and have it out within an hour and made a call for the state fire marshal to come do an investigation. It is currently under investigation.” Chief Rockwood says the building is a total loss. Zipp’s Laundry was the only building involved.
