A local teacher made the list of 40 educators across Utah to be awarded a grant at Utah First Lady Abby Cox’s ‘Show Up for Teachers’ conference. This is the second year for the grants through Mountain America Credit Union thanks to their foundation supporting innovative classroom projects. Terra Academy teacher Marcela Abrams was honored for her innovative classroom project and will use the $1000 grant to fund a new 3D printer for her classroom. “These grants help turn great ideas into reality, providing teachers with resources to create engaging learning experiences for their students,” shares Sharlene Wells, chief public affairs officer at Mountain America. “We’re proud to continue supporting the educators who make such a lasting difference in their communities.” Congratulations to Marcela Abrams on being among the educators selected and thank you for your dedication to student learning.
