According to the Utah Fire Info website, the Goslin Mountain Fire was reported at 10am in Daggett County north of Dutch John at 2 acres. The Wesley Fire was reported at 1:54pm in northeastern Uintah County at 2.5 acres. The Lambson Draw Fire was reported at 1:10pm in northern Uintah County near the Daggett County border at 0.1 acres. The Treaty Line Fire was reported at 6:05am in Uintah County northwest of Vernal at 0.1 acres. Evans Family Media spoke with a representative at the Uintah Basin Interagency Fire Center who shared that the starts were mostly lightning strikes and thankfully each had a quick response and are making good progress so there’s not great cause for concern. All fire resources are working together on any new starts.
