A Maeser business is a total loss due to a structure fire on Wednesday. Uintah Fire District Executive Director Jeremy Raymond reports that Vernal City Fire was called at 4:30am on June 24th on what was believed to be an outside fire but turned out to be the Timberline Saddle Tree building. Crews arrived and the metal building had smoke coming out of all sides and fire was coming through the roof. It took an hour and a half to get it under control, reports Raymond. There was no sign of arson. It appears that some of the equipment inside the building may have contributed to the ignition of the fire. Damages are estimated at a million dollars on the building and half a million dollars on the contents for a total of about $1.5 million. No other structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.
