Preliminary election results have been reported for the 2026 Primary Election. Duchesne County reported a 44% voter turnout with 3,467 ballots cast out of 7,910 registered voters. In the race for Duchesne County Sheriff, Rick Coil received 59.65% of the vote over incumbent Sheriff Travis Tucker with 40.35% of the vote. Duchesne County votes were also among 3 total counties with votes in the race for State House District 67. In Duchesne County, JR Bird received 83.86% of the vote over Yvonne H. Jensen with 16.14% of the vote. Duchesne County votes were also among 19 total counties with votes in the race for U.S. House District 3. In Duchesne County, Celeste Maloy received 64.99% of the vote over Phil Lyman with 35.01% of the vote. Counting all counties, preliminary results overall show Bird over Jensen and Maloy over Lyman.
