The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has made approvals on the Ranch Oil Wells Development in Duchesne County. “The Responsible Official signed a decision record under which the BLM will authorize five Applications for Permit to Uinta Wax Operating LLC (the applicant) to drill oil wells,” shares the announcement. “The EA analyzed potential non-surface effects from construction of a new well pad with associated infrastructure and drilling of up to seven additional wells for a total of twelve.” The project location is approximately 7.5 linear miles southwest of Roosevelt in the North Myton Bench area of Duchesne County. The surface is privately owned but the wells will extract Indian Trust minerals from existing leases.
