Simplot has received a much deserved recognition recently. Simplot Company announced that their Vernal mine has “once again received two prestigious awards from the Utah Mining Association: the Environmental Stewardship Award and the Outstanding Safety Performance Award. The Environmental Stewardship Award recognizes leadership in environmental progress. Vernal earned this honor for its innovative, science-based approach to restoring sagebrush habitat in partnership with Ashley National Forest, a critical effort for local wildlife. The Outstanding Safety Performance Award celebrates Vernal’s strong safety culture and focus on risk analysis, with the site reporting only one recordable safety incident in 2025.” Congratulations to the Vernal Simplot mine for these well deserved awards.
