The Bureau of Land Management Vernal Field Office has authorized four Applications for Permit to Drill to Anschutz Exploration Corporation to drill gas wells on the Norbert Well Pad. The Environmental Assessment analyzed construction of a new well pad with associated access roads and pipelines and drilling of up to three additional wells for a total of seven. The project location is on BLM-administered lands in the Black Dragon unit, approximately twenty-nine miles southeast of Jensen in the Evacuation Creek area of Uintah County.
