A special celebration returned this year as part of a sacred time of celebration for the Ute Tribe. After a break of a few years, the Whiterocks Bear Dance took place over the weekend as the third dance of the ‘Spring Celebration’. “Chief Paul Larose invited all dancers, singers, and community members to enjoy themselves and take part in celebration,” shares the Ute Bulletin announcement. “It has been four years since the Dance has been brought back to the Whiterocks Community. Paul Larose sends his gratitude to the families that came out to support the dance and for each individual.”
