Two Eagle View Elementary teachers have received a serious bonus as part of a special incentive program, one for the second time! The Uintah School District began participating in the Effective Teachers in High Poverty Schools incentive program three years ago. Half the funding comes from the state with the other half coming from the district. For a teacher to be eligible to receive the incentive, they must have a median student growth percentile of 70% or higher in at least one tested subject area with a minimum of 10 students for a full academic year or teach in grades K-3 and achieve at least 85% of students whose progress is assessed as typical or better while teaching in a high poverty school. Mindy Rasmussen and Pamela Wright from Eagle View Elementary School were each presented with checks for $7000 as recipients of the program. This is the second consecutive year Rasmussen has earned the incentive. Congratulations!
