The Utah School Employees Association (USEA) has named their Education Support Professionals of the Year for the entire state and Discovery Elementary head custodian Aubrey McCarrel has taken home the honor. McCarrel created a school-wide September 11th remembrance program. The USEA announcement shares that “Aubrey McCarrel is someone whose daily work has changed lives, strengthened schools, and elevated the voice of ESPs across an entire district and throughout Utah. As a leader, Aubrey has helped redefine the professional image of Education Support Professionals.” He will represent Utah as its candidate for the National Education Association’s Education Service Professional of the Year Award. Congratulations to Aubrey McCarrel for representing the Uintah Basin so well!
