The Utes girls softball team travel to Roosevelt Tuesday to face a tough Union Cougar squad that had only one close loss and given up only 13 runs over 12 games. The Utes entered the game having only two losses.
Ute pitcher Lynllie Hall entered the game with with 185 caareer strike outs under her belt as well. The Utes put up three runs in the first inning and Hall struck out 15 Cougars to reach 200 career strike outs and after the dust settled, the Utes emerged with an 8-1 victory.
Kynlee Bristol went 3 for 4 with a double and scoring three in the victory.
The Utes face Summit Academy Thursday to kick off region play.
