The Utes girls softball team headed south to the Warrior Elite Tournament in St. George last weekend.
Friday they took on the Snow Canyon Warriors, London Reary homered as the Utes mercy ruled with Warriors 13-2.
On their second Friday game, they battled the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs, Linzie Zufelt went 3 for 4 at the plate and Lynllie Hall had 12 strikeouts as the Utes beat the Mustangs 6-1.
Saturday morning they dueled to a 7-7 draw with the Bingham Miners. They then ran into a buzz zaw, falling to the Salem Hills Skyhawks 26-6 Kynlee Bristol homered for the Utes as a bright spot.
The Utes host Wasatch Wednesday and visit Bear River Thursday.
