News for Monday, February 16th, 2026Uintah Boys Wrestling Win 6th Straight State Title/Uintah Girls Takes 3rd Place

It was an amazing weekend of competition at the 4A State Wrestling Championships. For the first time in 46 years, the Uintah High Boys Wrestling Team won its sixth consecutive state title. The team scored 273.5 points, with five Utes earning individual state crowns. Timpanogos High came in second with 199 points.
Gavyn DeCol and Drayger Cloward each earned their first individual state titles. Maddax Hacking earned his second state
title, and Ethan Sharp and Rykan Hacking each earned their third individual state titles.
Of course, there were many additional Utes with a podium finish as well.
The Uintah High Girls Wrestling Team also finished their season strong, earning a 3rd place finish at the 4A Girls Wrestling State Championships. Sadie Rhoades won her third individual state title, Leena Sharp won her second, and McKinlee Collett won her first. Other team members also earned podium finishes.
