Several wildfires started in northeastern Utah over the weekend. The Mail Draw Fire is located in Uintah County about 20 miles southeast of Dutch John. The fire was initially estimated at 5 acres when first announced on July 5th after 6pm and was later reported to be about 20 acres. The Mail Draw Fire is burning in mixed timber and there are no immediate threats. Utah Fire Info also announced a wildfire start in Duchesne County around the same time on July 5th. The Tabby Mountain Fire started approximately 1 mile west of Tabiona and initial reports were that the fire was about 2 acres in size. The final report later that same day was that the forward progress of the Tabby Mountain Fire had been stopped and there was a dozer line around the perimeter.
