Roosevelt City Council adopted minimum standards requirements for the Roosevelt Municipal Airport during their meeting last week. Standards and requirements are now outlined for aeronautical business, aviation shop, fixed base, air cargo and other operators, as well as minimum insurance requirements and airport sign standards. The standards are meant to help guide growth and development at the airport in the years to come, explains City Manager Ryan Snow. “Most airports don’t have a minimum standard,” explained council member Albert Foster. “This is forward thinking to have a policy in place before a problem arises.” Foster also noted that this only sets the standard for commercial services.
