A friendly rivalry between Vernal and Rooseveltstudents ended in the favor of Uintah High School students earlier this month. UBATC in Vernal hosted this year’s Roosevelt versus Vernal Automotive Competition. The Uintah High School students swept the competition with Baily Bently securing 4th place, Chad Stewart taking 3rd place, Jaron Coonis earning 2nd place and Jacob Speirs winning the competition in 1st place. Industry leaders and local representatives from the automotive industry came to judge the competition and were impressed by what they saw from all the students. Prizes were also donated by industry businesses. The odds ended in the Uintah students favor this year but automotive students from both Counties continue to impress as they develop professional automotive skills.
