A domestic violence assault ended in arrest in Duchesne County this week. On May 5th, 35-year-old Dimetri Del Wopsock was arrested after an alleged assault that took place at his apartment in Roosevelt. Investigators spoke with the victim and found visible markings consistent with the account of being grabbed by the throat and restrained multiple times. The victim said that she was trying to leave the apartment and Wopsock threatened her with a pistol and eventually started throwing her belongings. He demanded she give him her vape and she would not. In response, Wopsock threw her down and held her by the neck, not stopping until he got the vape. The victim’s laptop and phone were found to be broken as claimed. Wopsock was located at an address in Neola and brought into custody and the judge ordered that he be held without bail. Dimetri Del Wopsock is charged with 3rd Degree Felony Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Detention, and Property Damage and Destruction.
