Parents and guardians, if you aren’t taking a close look at your teen’s online activity it’s time to start. Uintah County Sheriff’s Office is warning of a new scam that has affected local teens and is anticipated to hit more. Teens are interacting with people online who are actually scammers, shares the Sheriff’s Office. The scammer invites and encourages the teen to share nude photos of themselves and once they do, the scammer demands money or they will spread the photos on the internet. “All parents really need to know what their kids are doing on their devices and computers,” urges the Sheriff’s Office.
