Good Fishing on Flaming Gorge; Little Hole Trail Impassable

by | Apr 20, 2017 | News | 0 comments

Fishing in northeastern Utah has slowed down some but Flaming Gorge and the Green River below the dam is still good fishing. According to the Division of Wildlife Resources, Little Hole trail is currently flooded and impassable but fishing is still good during high flows from where you can reach it. Streamer fishing has been good during the high water and nymph fishing has also been productive. Spin fishing is also recommended. The most likely catch is brown trout, mountain whitefish, and rainbow trout. It’s also possible to snag some common carp and cutthroat trout. On Flaming Gorge itself, rainbow and lake trout are offering good fishing while there are some reports of kokanee salmon and burbot.
