Tomorrow is the day for citizens of Duchesne County to learn more about the candidates
running for the one open Commission seat for this year’s election. This is an opportunity
to meet candidates in-person ahead of the county convention. The Commission seat has
opened after years of dedicated service by Commissioner Irene Hansen who is not
running for reelection. The 7 candidates from the community have gone through the
process to put their names into the race and all 7 are planning to be at the same place at
the same time. The Commission Candidates Panel is taking place on April 10th at
6:30pm at the Roosevelt Branch Library with plans to discuss their platforms and answer
a few questions. The library does not endorse any candidate and hosts the program for
public information only.
