A USU-Uintah Basin student is the latest recipient of a coveted award from Utah State University. The A-Pin award started in 1910 and remains one of the most esteemed awards for undergraduate students of USU. Uintah Basin student Alison Wood is the latest recipient of the A-Pin award for maintaining a 4.0 grade point average for two consecutive semesters while taking 15 credit hours each semester. Wood is working towards a Bachelor’s in Aviation Technology and plans to become a professional pilot for a major airline after finishing her degree. “It was hard finding the motivation to keep working on it,” shares Wood. “It’s not easy taking that many classes and there were times I would get home from work and the last thing I wanted to do was homework.” Wood was awarded the pin, certificate and lunch with USU-Uintah Basin Executive Director
James Taylor
and Associate Director Cameron Cuch.
