The Naples Police Department laid a member of their team to rest this week. K9 Jesse joined the Naples Police Department team in 2008 and was partnered with Lieutenant Drew Cox. “In the last ten years,” shares Naples Police, “ K9 Jesse and her partner have been accredited to many drug arrests in the Basin.” On Thursday morning, the Naples Police Department was joined by other agencies including Vernal Police, Uintah County Sheriff’s Office, Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, Utah Highway Patrol and others and escorted Jesse from Vernal to her place of rest in Naples in order to pay respect for Jesse, her handler, and all the K9 teams that serve the Basin.
