Pony rides and carnival games made the day for kids of all ages on Saturday at the Uintah FFA fundraiser hosted by the Vernal IFA. The event raised funds for the FFA members competing at nationals in Indianapolis at the end of October. The Uintah Nursery/Landscape Team and the Agronomy Team will compete at the Indianapolis competition. One long time Uintah FFA member, Brinlee Anderson, will also travel to the National FFA Convention as a recipient of the prestigious American FFA Degree. The American Degree is among the organization’s highest honors, awarded to less than one percent of FFA members. And finally, one more FFA member will have a unique opportunity to compete at the National Convention. Jace Rothlisberger submitted an audition video to compete in the National FFA Talent Contest and was one of the few selected. “It’s like the FFA American Idol,” shares Jace. “I’m not sure how good I’ll do but I’m looking forward to the experience of it being on that large of a scale.” Look up Jace’s audition video on YouTube under FFA Talent Audition Medley by Jace Rothlisberger. Good luck to Jace and the entire Uintah FFA team!
