The Murdock Fire, located in Summit County in the High Uintas Wilderness, is impacting Duchesne County. The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office announced on Sunday that the Mirror Lake Highway was closed from Murdock Basin Turnoff to Ruth Lake Campground due to the Murdock Fire. The closure was made as a matter of public and firefighter safety. Local Sheriff and Highway Patrol officers continue to evaluate the closures. The fire made a run to the north in the Duchesne River Drainage on Saturday. Despite winds on Sunday, the Murdock Fire experienced minimal growth.
