One local elementary school is setting an example worth emulating. The theme for Maeser Elementary this year is “Kindness Begins With Me” and a teacher at the school says they are already living up to that mantra. “I am a new teacher to Maeser Elementary this year and I have already witnessed various acts of kindness both big and small,” shares 5th grade teacher Amy Farnsworth. “I have witnessed students helping special needs students to feel included at lunch and recess and students helping one another during class time. I have also seen older students being thoughtful about younger students, taking time to help them after school and checking to make sure that the little ones know that they are there to help them.” Farnsworth also praised the Maeser staff who, like other local schools, puts in extra hours and support to keep the students smiling and learning. Congratulations to the Maeser Elementary School family for setting a great example of kindness and positivity in the community!
