ACLU Shows No Sign Of Backing Off Daggett County In Jail Lawsuit

Daggett County is ready to move on from the 2017 jail scandal but the American Civil Liberties Union has made it clear they have no intention of backing off their lawsuit that remains against the county. The former sheriff and four former deputies tied to the inmate abuse have gone through the court process on a variety of charges.

Final Two Days For Haunt And UnHaunt To Benefit Local Charities

It’s the final two days of the Hotel Vernal Haunt which means the effort to scare up donations for local charities is at its peak. Actually, for those that have no desire to be scared for a good cause, there are two final opportunities to visit the Haunt during the light of day for the Un-Haunt on Friday and Saturday from 3:30pm to 5pm.

COVID-19 Transmission Index and Update (10/28-11/3)

As of Thursday, October 28th, TriCounty Health Department reported 8,259 total COVID-19 cases in the tri-county area to date, an increase of 38 new cases from the day before. There have been no COVID-19 related deaths in the last 7 days keeping the count at 64 deaths to date.
