COVID-19 Transmission Index and Update (10/28-11/3)

As of Thursday, October 28th, TriCounty Health Department reported 8,259 total COVID-19 cases in the tri-county area to date, an increase of 38 new cases from the day before. There have been no COVID-19 related deaths in the last 7 days keeping the count at 64 deaths to date. According to Thursday’s data, there are currently 600 active cases which continues the downward trend over the last several weeks. Over the past seven days, the tri-county area has seen 18 new COVID-19 related hospitalizations. The COVID-19 Transmission Index reports Duchesne County and Uintah County at the High Transmission Index Level and Daggett County at the Low Level. Uintah County’s 7-day average percent positivity was 12 percent and there were 244 cases in the past 14 days, Duchesne County was 14 percent with 120 cases, and Daggett County was 11 percent with 5 cases.
