Patience is appreciated as road work continues in Roosevelt City. Dominion Energy crews began mill and overlay work on Highway 40 this week. This will impact the right/eastbound lane of Highway 40 from 4500 South to Lagoon Street. All travelers are asked to please allow for extra travel time through Roosevelt during the next two weeks.

Former Church Leader Accused of Sexual Abuse; Charged in 8th District Court
A former church leader accused of sexual abuse against a minor has been charged in 8th District Court. On September 16th, 63-year-old James Douglas Robinson was charged with 2nd Degree Felony Forcible Sexual Abuse for an alleged incident that took place in June in Duchesne County.

Lapoint-Tridell Fire Department Receives Wildland Fire Engine From BLM

The Vernal Innovation Hub continues to offer services to the community and a new group is off to a great start. ‘Women Business Owners of the Basin’ recently held their first meeting and all involved are calling it a success. The group is an affiliate group of Women’s Business Center of Utah and it was organized by the Innovation Hub manager.
