TriCounty Health Department COVID-19 Update

TriCounty Health Officer Jordan Mathis visited the Eagle Country 105.5 FM studio on Tuesday to deliver the weekly Give’m Health update on COVID-19. Mathis shared that the TriCounty Health District is still holding in a good pattern and it is hoped that it will continue to do so. Because things are trending in a good direction it is anticipated the Governor will lesson some restrictions starting May 1st.

It's been over a month now since hospitals and doctors elected to postpone certain procedures and surgeries but it looks like that time is winding down. Uintah Basin Healthcare announced on Monday that all services are now fully operational at The Clinic though telehealth visits still remain available. Urgent Care is now fully operational in both Roosevelt and Vernal and sleep studies have resumed at the UBH Sleep Center.

UDOT Highway 40 Gusher Construction Update

Water line and roadwork continue this week on the UDOT Highway 40 construction project in Gusher. The UDOT update this week shares that the speed limit has been reduced to 50 mph through the work zone during construction. “Please be respectful and slow down around crews as they work next to traffic,” shares UDOT.
