The Bureau of Land Management Utah State Office is holding an online sale today for four parcels of competitive oil and gas leases. The total amount is 4,175 acres. The sale will be conducted with the EnergyNet internet-based auction system.

Governor Gary Herbert Presents Roosevelt with “Business Friendly City” Award

Governor Gary Herbert made a personal visit to Roosevelt on Tuesday to present Roosevelt City with a special award designating Roosevelt as a “Business Friendly City”. Governor Herbert explained that Utah is leading the nation as an economic powerhouse and that a large part of that is the state’s responsibility to recognize the needs in communities beyond the Wasatch Front.

The Vernal City Walmart was shut down on Sunday night due to a bomb threat. According to Vernal City Assistant Police Chief Keith Campbell, 55-year-old Scott Baese called in the bomb threat on the evening of March 19th.
