You best be hiding your gold this weekend because a crew of swashbuckling pirates are on their way to the 24th Annual Home and Garden Show and Outdoor Expo this Friday and Saturday at the Western Park. The pirates from Utah REACH are flying to the Basin on their real and full size magical pirate ship with the special mission of interacting with kids at the Home and Garden Show to share their anti-bullying message. REACH stands for Raising Education through Arts, Characters and Heroes and they share the important message that “bullying on the playground, in school or social media will not be tolerated aboard this ship!” The group was founded in February 2013 and since then has taught lessons to over 100 different classrooms and raised awareness at Comic Con, Steamfest and more conferences. Vernal’s Home and Garden Show and Outdoor Expo is the region’s largest outdoor sports show. The opportunity to have your kids come aboard a real pirate ship and interact with pirates who double as role models is new to the Home and Garden Show this year and won’t want to be missed this Friday and Saturday, March 24th and 25th, at the Western Park in Vernal.
