The players of the 12U Uintah Baseball Team are still on cloud 9 after a huge victory during the Presidents’ Day Baseball Tournament in St. George over the weekend. The young men were up to the challenge when facing the number 4 team in the state, the Snow Canyon Warriors. The team secured victory with a 14-3 win, ending the game with a dramatic grand slam home run by Dace Murray. “The Uintah boys played hard all weekend…but when they found out they were playing Snow Canyon and realized they were ranked fourth in the state, they went in with a statement to make,” shares Coach Seth Taylor. The team certainly made that statement and came out on top and far ahead. The young men ended the tournament with 3 wins and 1 loss.
