The USU-Uintah Basin nursing program has some impressive stats to brag about. The 2017 graduates completed the registered nurse licensure exam with a 100 percent pass rate for the second consecutive year. This year’s graduating class also achieved 100 percent job placement. “Our students continue to impress us with their ability to consume a lot of information, then quickly turn around and put it into practice in real-world settings,” shares nursing faculty member Inella Bastian. “The students’ success is a reflection on our nursing program and the quality of instruction being offered.” The graduating classes literally ease the current nursing shortage in the Basin as many of the graduates secured local employment. The partnership between USU and UBTech is credited with providing the quality faculty needed and educational foundation to have such a successful nursing program.
