‘Your Community Clothing Room’ has a new drop off location in Uintah County. For several years, clothing donations could be dropped off at the horse trailer in the Simper Supply parking lot. Now YCCR clothing donations are being accepted at JP’s Odds & Treasures. In 2015, Diana and Frank Traeger were new to the Uintah Basin and wanting to find a meaningful way to serve their fellow man. The idea for ‘Your Community Clothing Room’ was born. The idea was simple. They would volunteer their time and what resources they could to provide free clothing to anyone who wanted it, no questions asked. The operation has adjusted over the years depending on the needs and resources available but it does continue. Donations of good clean clothing, bed linens, blankets, and towels are accepted. For those in the Vernal area wanting to donate, JP’s Odds & Treasures is located at 717 East Main Street in Vernal.
