All are urged to increase caution and diligence on the roads with another fatal auto-pedestrian accident in the region. This month on December 3rd, 12-year-old Lydia Love was fatally hit in a crosswalk in Roosevelt and just this week on December 16th, 19-year-old Kai Cowan was fatally struck in Duchesne County. The third auto-pedestrain fatality in the region took place on Wednesday, December 17th, when a 64-year-old woman was hit in a crosswalk in Price. “The vehicle was being driven by a male juvenile who stayed on scene and has been cooperative with law enforcement,” shares Price Police Department. “The pedestrian was attending a work-related Christmas party and was accompanied by multiple co-workers and friends at the time of the accident.” Carbon County School District shared their condolences, identifying the victim as 64-year-old Linda Garvin, who worked as a 4th grade teacher in the District. Evans Family Media joins in offering condolences on this latest loss of life.
