Woman Charged In February Double Shooting Facing New Charge

The Naples woman charged with Attempted Aggravated Murder following an incident in which two people were shot in a Naples residence on February 28th is facing new charges for actions within the Uintah County Jail. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, at about 5:15am on May 2nd, 28-year-old Mara Anderson had returned to the jail from a medical transport and she was directing harassing comments at the female deputy present. As other deputies approached, Anderson attacked the female deputy, striking her in the face multiple times before being restrained. The female deputy had dark marks, swelling, and bleeding wounds on the right side of her face and was sent to urgent care to be checked for concussion. Anderson has been charged with 3rd Degree Felony Assault by a Prisoner.
