Fire season is off to a dangerous and early start and Rio Blanco County in Colorado is one of the areas with a wildfire. The Dragon Fire started on Tuesday at 12:30pm in the area southeast of Rio Blanco County Road 23. According to the initial report, Rangely Police Department Communication Center received multiple calls of smoke in the area. Rangeley Fire, BLM, and Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office responded and shut down roads that could be affected in the area. As of that report, there was no immediate danger to structures.
