A Mississippi murder fugitive spotted in Vernal earlier this month has been arrested. 61-year-old Charles Eugene Bowman was being sought by the US Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team on suspicion of murdering his wife. Bowman’s wife was last seen alive on May 17th but her remains were reportedly found on the couple’s Mississippi property. Bowman was seen in the Vernal area on Friday, July 6th, at a campsite a few miles west of Vernal. The US Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team took Bowman into custody at the Rainbow Cove Campground in Bear Lake State Park.
