An individual with active warrants was taken into custody last week after law enforcement received a tip that the man was sleeping in a truck near 360 West Main Street in Myton. According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, 32-year-old Joseph Allen Keel was found in the driver’s seat under a blanket. The truck door was opened and he told officers the items in the truck were not his. Drug paraphernalia was observed in plain view in the seat and on the dash with substance consistent with Fentanyl as well as a container with Methamphetamine. A backpack was on the center console which contained a 10 inch bladed knife. Keel was transported to Uintah Basin Medical Center for clearance before being transported to Duchesne County Jail.
