The local Special Olympics ‘Walk for Inclusion’ held last week was a success. The walk was held August 12th at the Naples City Park and had around 50 Special Olympics athletes, volunteers, and Special Olympics supporters in attendance. Northeast area Special Olympics coordinator Frank Crowther explains that the walk was held in conjunction with other walks throughout the state and the event is used to raise funds to support local Special Olympics activities. Coming up soon, the local Special Olympians are having a bocce ball tournament for the northeast area.  If anyone would like to volunteer or contribute to the local Special Olympics program, contact Crowther at 435-790-5933. The bocce ball tournament is scheduled for September 29th here in Vernal.
