The identity of a Dinosaur, Colorado woman who died in an accident in Dinosaur National Monument has been released. According to an updated press release from Park Ranger Sonya Popelka, 18-year-old Maria Blakley was found deceased at the scene of a single vehicle accident along Harpers Corner Road. “[Blakley]…was last seen at approximately 9:00pm on Friday, June 29th,” shares the release. “Shortly after 7:00am on Saturday, June 30th, a passerby called 9-1-1 to report a vehicle off the road approximately 3 miles north of Highway 40 along the Harpers Corner Road scenic drive. The Artesia Fire Department was first on scene. ” Harpers Corner Road was closed during the investigation. The National Park Service and Colorado State Patrol continue to investigate the accident.
