is the Utah State Parks’ Veterans and Military Appreciation Day with special events locally. A flag raising ceremony will be held at the Steinaker State Park main office
on Saturday
at
9:00am
and all local veterans and members of the military are invited to come enjoy fun at the state park for free that day. “We wanted to do something to honor our veterans,” shares Steinaker Park Manager Mike Murray. “The road will be lined with flags and there will be some refreshments. We just want to thank them and hope they can enjoy a day at a State Park.” Steinaker State Park held a similar event last year with a flag ceremony. Each year the State Parks get to choose what they will do to honor veterans and military personnel.
